  • Features Everything I could possibly ask for. This device fully replaces my laptop. great!
  • Display 2048 x 1356. But that's not all. the colors are great, and the brightness and contrast really make he picture pop. Wonderful all around display and value. great!
  • Battery life Only been using it for a few days, but so far it matches up to or exceeds the estimated battery life. I couldn't be happier, especially coming form my laptop. great!
  • Ease of use See iOS: http://gdgt.com/apple/ios/5/ great!
  • Storage capacity I got the 32GB model. I would not recommend getting anything lower. The Retina graphics, while beautiful, make apps bloat tremendously, 32GB or 64GB recommended so-so
  • Design and form factor Georgous industrial design, very minimalistic, no cheap "carbon fiber" patters or plastic. Just beautiful aluminum and glass. Perfect. great!
  • Portability (size / weight) Slightly thicker than the iPad 2. But you won't notice, or care. It's very portable and slim, though not so slim to be frail. Easily fits in the binder I carry. great!
  • Durability It is made of a 10 in. sheet of glass. Even though the glass is durable and catake some abuse, I wouldn't do it to mine. Get a case. good
Detailed review
I don't know where to begin. This is by far the most bible piece of equipment I've bought in the past two years at least, and it is by far the most satisfying.

First the experience: All touches are quick and responsive and the operating system is extremely smooth. Is all very familiar and easy to use as well as quick and responsive when using apps and built in features. Compared to other options on the market there's no touching iOS 5. And as a bonus I'm typing this entire review with Siri dictation on my iPad. It's just that good.

Design: Design is very beautiful with aluminum on the back with the small black plastic apple symbol on the front you have the single sheet of glass with the home button and on the side you have few requisite buttons.

Features: the first thing you notice about the iPad (3) is the screen. The screen is fantastic with an extremely high resolution and it's so dense so you can barely pixels even with your eyes straight up to the screen. Yes, I tried. The next features aremsome of the operating system improvements made specifically for the new iPad such as Siri dictation on the keyboard as well as the graphics built into the iPad itself. The graphics are especially prevalent in games with the Retina Display used to its full potential. This review is the first extensive use of Siri I've had as you can see it's actually working quite well. The next thing you'll notice if you explore the iPad is the camera. The rear camera's very good, very well suited for the iPad. It is five megapixels with a 1080p recording feature. Pictures are quite good in fact it beat an iPhone 4 in a speed test I made up on the fly.

Using the iPad: Now that you know features you may be wondering, how does this iPad work? Well, I'm satisfied, so far I've completely replaced my laptop which was the piece of crap and completely transitioned to the new iPad. The best part is if I need to use my desktop, my little Mac Mini, all I have to do is use an app and get right on and use it the way I used to.

Overall, the new iPad is a great device which anyone considering buying it, should. Especially over the competition. Hope this helps. Ciao.
