Detailed review
Although I have grown to love my iPad and other Apple devices, what I don't love is the way Apple treats corporate customers. Apple is clueless to the needs of an enterprise. I was just told today that I am no longer allowed to use my corporate credit card for purchases. That Apple iTunes is for non commercial use only etc. I have the email to back it up as I've fought with Apple for the past couple of days on getting my account re-enabled. As an IT professional I'm starting to really second guess doing business with a company that is so hell bent on alienating the enterprise. Not all users of their products are consumers, if you are a corporate customer think long and hard before jumping into bed with Apple. The frustration is not worth their slick gear.

Excerpt below.

Its Jidesh again from iTunes Store Customer Support.

I understand that your address is not getting accepted. I can certainly know how eager you are to get this issue resolved.

iTunes is for personal, non-commercial use only and others who are being able to use the business address will be soon asked to make the same change which you will have to make to reenable the account. Please edit the changes and let me know so that we can sort it out quickly.

So if you use a corporate card with your account, like I do for business purposes, like apps specific to work I do... looks like Apple is giving us the finger... again.

Not that your input isn't helpful, and I agree that Apple isn't always great at putting the consumer first, but this a review on the device. It's worth noting to people so they don't buy a device they end up not being able to use. but this reflects poorly on the device itself instead. (this is obviously my personal opinion) But I feel like rating a device as a 4 because you can't buy an app with your company credit card, has little to do with how the device compares.

It is much more than just buying an app on business credit card. You can do that, quite simply by linking multiple accounts with different cards to your iDevice. The point is, that the software is what makes this device such a great item. Apple has hit a home run no doubt about it. However, they are lacking when it comes to providing for the corporate user vs. the average consumer. I think it is important for users to understand that should you need to use an iDevice within a corporate enterprise there are issues on the Apple side of things. The device is backed by a company, we are buying that company and as such, the two in my mind are one. Apple needs to do more for the corporate customer so we can make adoption of these devices easier into our networks vs. more difficult.
