I purchased these headphones for portability, and to use as a handsfree. I expected decent sound.

The sound quality far exceeded my expectations. They sound great. Bass levels are a bit light at low volume. But I don't really find that to be an issue.

I only have two minor gripes.

The first is the lack of volume control for the iPhone 3G. Apple are quite up front about this. I knew about it when I bought them. So I'm not too concerned.

The second is the handsfree microphone. I often have trouble being heard by the other party if I don't hold the microphone up to my mouth.

Finally, and it's a little thing, I really like the plastic shell the headphones come in. It protects the headphones nicely and is small enough to keep them in your pocket with any discomfort.
