One of the earbuds popped off on my Apple In-Ear headphones and now I can't get it back on.
details
What are my options? Are these things irreparably broken? I've had them for about a year (I forget exactly how long, but I'd imagine they're not covered under Apple Care any more) and they've been great otherwise! Image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rockbandit/5136242175... I might head down to the Apple Store later today and see what they say. I think it's one of those "bad luck with Apple products" days for me...

Are these the best for their price?
details
Hey, I've had an iPod of some description since their inception and always refrained from using apple earphones (for obvious reasons). Recently I was forced to use use a crappy cheap Sony set as my Sennheiser's stopped working. Since then, I've been on the look out for the best available to me with my budget. Which is £100. Now I have looked at Shure and Sennheiser's but what I really want are decent phones with mic and remote. Much like these, but are they worth that pretty...

Silicone tips keep popping off (and driving me nuts)
details
The silicone tips (or caps, or whatever you want to call them) these headphones come with are great to start and have a very snug fit on the buds themselves, but damned if they don't tend to fall off repeatedly after use. Couple this with the fact that you can't buy new caps (see: http://discuss.gdgt.com/apple/in-ear-headphones-wi... and http://discuss.gdgt.com/apple/in-ear-headphones-wi... ) and... Read more →

Fake Microphone Grille
details
I was cleaning my headphones earlier today, scraping gunk out of the control module with a pin (sexy, I know) when the microphone grille came loose and fell off. After having a closer look it appears there's no microphone underneath the grille, just an indent in the plastic to hold the grille itself. See pic here http://img529.imageshack.us/i/dsc03445u.jpg/ Now, I know the microphone is in there somewhere and the fact that the grille is fake doesn't make any difference to how well it... How do you carry around your headphones?
details
Do you use Apple's little plastic case? It seems a bit bulky and slow for using on a day to day basis. I usually wind them around three fingers and shove them in my pocket. The trouble is that whenever I pull them out I feel like the caps are going to fall on the ground. So do you have any inventive ways of carrying around your headphones?

Replacement Ear buds
details
I have to agree with one of the reviewers (SirPumpkin) that there are no replacement ear buds. The headphones come with 3 pairs (small, medium, large) and though comfortable, unfortunately can come off if it snags on something - like coming out of your pocket (very very rare), or if the cord gets pulled, the ear buds stay in your ear! (uncommon). Might I propose that a form of community based solution for this? I use the small ear buds, have never used the other ones (other than just to try on... Read more →
