Prevening Screen Burn?

Does anyone have any tips for preventing screen burn when you spend 8+ hours a day on the thing?

Replace Optical Drive in mid 2007 24" iMac

My optical drive has pretty much burned out and needs to be replaced. Apple of course, charge approx. $500 to replace it. A raw drive should cost under $100. The specs list an Optiarc AD-5630A, however, this drive is very difficult to find online. Has anyone else substituted a different replacement...

New rev of iMac any time soon?

I'm thinking of getting either a 20" or 24" iMac in the near future - probably between August ~ September 2009. Does anyone out there think they'll be rev'ing this any time soon with a new model and that I should therefore wait a bit?

I haven't heard any rumors on this but just curious...

Image and text ghosting on iMac display

I've had my 2nd gen 24" iMac for about 3 months now and I'm just starting to notice ghost images on the screen especially with text.

I run spaces and if I switch desktops after using my browser for an hour or more to iPhoto for example I can see and read some of the text from safari on...
