The G3 iMac wasn't a revolution in itself but it marked the birth of the "new" Apple.
It wasn't perfect (well, it kinda was until you laid your hand on the mouse) but it raised the bar for product design in IT and consumer electronics in general.
It wasn't the first machine to sport USB but it's doubtful that USB would even have taken off had Apple not adopted it in 98.
It wasn't a revolution, but it shaped the future of personal computers more than any other single PC has done since.
