Can I replace Kindle Keyboard screen with one from Kindle 1 or 2?
I broke my kindle keyboard screen (and am not covered under the warranty). I disassembled it, which was really easy actually, and was considering buying the little kindle with ad support for like $79 and swapping screens. Before I do that I have seen some older kindles on ebay a little cheaper, and am wondering if they are the same screen. Does anyone know? OH also .... I am assuming that the new little kindle has the same screen, but am not sure.

Sync reset?
Is there a way to reset the "Furthest page read" location. I jumped ahead in this commentary I am reading and because of that I can not use the sync to keep my devices on the same page. I would think it would be simple to do but I don't see it.....

Are you keeping your kindle AND getting a Kindle Fire?
I'm wrestling with whether I should sell my Kindle when the Kindle fire shows up, or keep it around. There are positive things about the e-ink kindles like sunlight reading and battery life that make me think I should keep it in a drawer for specific circumstances. What are your plans?

Does the new Kindle Lending Library only work with Kindle devices?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/?docId=1000739811
That's what it sounds like, so I guess that means no borrowing books to read on a Kindle app on an iPad or iPhone or Android phone. Understandable, since they want people to buy more devices.

On the Kindle Keyboard, how large are the keys?
I am trying to decide between the Touch and the Kindle Keyboard.. I have been using a Blackberry for years, as required by work. The keys on the keyboard are very tiny in comparison to my stubby fingertips, and I frequently hit two keys at once unless I use a stylus to type. Will I have the same problem with the Keyboard? Is the Touch screen keyboard adequate, if typing a document? I see no measurements anywhere on this point. Hard to believe, but this is my first Kindle, as I have been...

Is it possible to override Whispersync?
While reading Steve Jobs today on my Nexus S, I stupidly clicked on a title that linked me to the notes section of the book which is about 79% through the book but I'm actually just about 10% through the book. When I went I back to the Kindle to read the book, it tried to sync to the 79% position since it's the "furthest page read."
Is there a way for me to manually mark the current page I'm on for Whispersync to sync across my devices? I often switch between my phone and Kindle and it would...

Are there any software differences between Kindle 4th-gen and Keyboard/3rd-gen?
Is the software that runs on the 4th-gen Kindle the same as the Kindle Keyboard? It looks like xray and other new features are only on the Kindle Touch. Is a smaller/lighter device the only difference?

How do I get rid of a line on my Kindle Keyboard screen?
A 1 pixel gray line has appeared on my Kindle Keyboard Screen about 3/4 of the way down. It actually gets darker in the middle of the line and is a gradient to a lighter gray towards the edges. Either way, it has not gone away by putting it in and out of sleep mode, flipping pages, and holding the power switch for 20 seconds to reset the device.
The only thing that I don't think I have tried is updating to the latest software version (3.3). I am currently running 3.1 and I am hoping (though not... Read more →

Does the new software update for the kindle 3 disable web browser over 3G?
I read that there is a new software update for the kindle 3, which is going to add some of the new cloud features present on the kindle touch. However with the news that the 3G web browsing is disabled on the new kindles I'm concerned that the new update will disable this on the kindle keyboard. If that's the case then I'd rather not have the cloud features and keep my free international web browsing. Anyone have any answers?

Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard?
Anyone using a Kindle with a Keyboard not phased with the new updates today?
I'm looking at the Kindle Keyboard as my first Kindle but maybe my assumption of having a keyboard instead of touch is wrong. I don't see any advancements in the tech either, looks like the same eInk display in an uglier body.

Can I easily set up my new kindle exactly like my old one?
I got a Kindle in December but the case was cracking. I called Amazon and they sent me a new one. I want to set up my new Kindle so it is identical to the set-up of my old one with books sorted into collections. The problem is, I have about 100 books on my Kindle and do not want to sort them out and go through "Manage My Kindle" since it seems I have to individually add each book, then set up my collections all over again on my new Kindle, unless I'm missing something. I tried transferring all...
