- Features Books, videos, music, apps - Amazon has them all and now a convenient package to tote them along with you. Glad I have a mobile hotspot so I can use it wherever
- Display Not the best I've seen. It feels a bit too dim, almost as if it has a layer of tint on it. Not bad, but not stellar either.
- Battery life I've gone days of heavy use on one charge. No complaints here.
- Ease of use Dead simple UI. It's a bit stuttery at times, but I imagine a firmware update will fix that.
- Storage capacity More than adequate for apps and documents (to include books). With the abundance of streaming options, I don't find the 8GB to be a hindrance.
- Design and form factor Simplistic. Utilitarian. Gets the job done while being small and good in the hand.
- Portability (size / weight) Right size and much lighter than some alternatives.
- Durability This thing is rock solid. No creaking like in my Nook Color. +1 for Gorilla Glass too.
Detailed review
Perfectly priced, a great content library and a good industrial design all team up to make the Fire a real contender in the 7 inch tablet market. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. And with future firmware updates, I only expect it to get even better.
