Detailed review
After using the original Kindle, I held out and waited for the kindle DX before upgrading. I felt that a larger screen would make a big difference, and on this front, the DX does not disappoint. The screen is great.
So far, the only issue relates to the native support for .pdf files. More info in the full review at getthenext.com/archives/149.
Battery life is excellent.
The built-in 3G connectivity is also a nice upgrade from the original Kindle.
Aside from the .pdf glitches, which will hopefully be addressed via software, the only other potential downside for some is the weight of the device. It's not exactly "light as a feather".
