Detailed review
Pros
Cons
If all you're reading is books bought by Amazon or free mobi's, it's an amazing device. If you want it for manga/comics, I suggest the Sony E-Reader, it's got memory expansion and image refreshes on screen perfectly and is lighter in weight too.
- Supports mobi, cbr, cbz, pdfs
- Easy drag/drop of files
- Amazon store for amazing and affordable collection of books
- Battery life
- Design and form factor is ergonomic
- Extremely affordable
Cons
- Can't zoom on images nor pdf.
- No memory expansion (sad that Amazon took out this feature after the first Kindle)
- Heavy for long period reads
- Side buttons are awkwardly placed because the next button should be more reachable than the previous page button, I had to rotate the screen so that the next page button was on top of the previous page button, to turn the pages more comfortably
- Bottom bottom is hard to press and awkward, I had to use my nail sometimes
- Image dithering is terrible, leaves previous image residues on screen that can't be fixed when reading comics
- No easy collections management (should have folders when dragging and dropping be the collections)
If all you're reading is books bought by Amazon or free mobi's, it's an amazing device. If you want it for manga/comics, I suggest the Sony E-Reader, it's got memory expansion and image refreshes on screen perfectly and is lighter in weight too.
