Is there a way to reset the "Furthest page read" location. I jumped ahead in this commentary I am reading and because of that I can not use the sync to keep my devices on the same page. I would think it would be simple to do but I don't see it.....

What do the location numbers in a Kindle ebook represent?
Something we were discussing at lunch today: what do the location numbers inside each ebook in Kindle represent. They obviously don't correlate to actual page numbers, yet they keep your reading location in sync across various devices. Does anyone know what they actually mean? Character count? Paragraphs? (For those wondering what the heck we're talking about, check out the following screenshot from the Mac Kindle app that shows location numbers: http://cl.ly/3W3J302H3v2a0Y1Q1M3o)

NY Times on Kindle
Can someone walk me through the experience of using a Kindle for reading the NY Times? I live in NYC and I am hoping to pick up a Kindle during the holidays this year. Is there a monthly fee if I already have a paid NY Times account? Can the daily issue be beamed to my Kindle over WiFi? Is the content on the Kindle *that* much worse than the online and print editions? How is the overall experience? Thanks!

Nook or Kindle? In terms of the reading experience and selection of books, what is a better buy?

Anyone have any experience converting (DRM-free) ePub files for use on a Kindle?
I know there are some options out there, curious whether there are any major issues with formatting, transferring, etc. If I end up buying one of the new Kindles I'd love to be able to read books from my current collection of ePub books on it. Not a huge fan of the iPad's iBooks app, but at least it has native ePub support.
