  • Speed and features This is a speed demon! great!
  • Design and form factor Not a big fan of the alien design and couldn't wait to turn the freakin' lights off! so-so
  • Battery life It has a 9-cell 96 watt-hour battery but I'm guessing it will only last about an hour. If you fuss with the power setting you might get 3 hours with dim screen. so-so
  • Display The 18.4" display is the best I've ever seen. great!
  • Durability I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't testify to its long-term durability. I travel nearly every week so I shall soon find out. good
  • Expandability As I understand it, this beast can be upgraded a la a desktop. great!
  • Noise There are three on-board cooling fans but I rarely hear them. good
  • Portability (size / weight) A behemoth! awful!

My m18x is black with an i7-2630QM, 8GB RAM, (2) 750GB 7200 RPM hard drives configured as RAID 0, NVIDIA GTX 460M 1.5GB, Blu-Ray reader/DVD reader-writer, and Klipsch 5.1 audio. I don't play games but I chose this laptop because of the power. I run way too many applications simultaneously, which bogs things down. I haven't bogged this beast down at all. It rocks!
