The new Core i3/i5/i7 options coupled with Optimus tech make this laptop a must buy - based on the prices on Dell's Singapore site - they don't seem…
to have changed much, if at all - making this a steal. Battery life however, doesn't seem to be specified anymore. But at least we'll have a choice between longevity and performance now. And either way, this thing will get us more mileage than any other gaming notebook.

Anyone leaking the new prices?
I know that the i7 would be nice, but with the recent Dell discounts you can pick up one of these for under $700 and that is tempting.

Okay so this thing is basically netbook internals + high end graphics. So will it run better than say a $600 -$800 budget laptop from Dell, HP, Toshiba, etc..?
Will it be able to handle all the everyday tasks other than gaming that those can? After all this only has a low end ULV processor while those will have new Intel i3, i5, or even i7's.

I love this machine! I have been looking for a laptop that was light for travel but had the power of a high end gaming rig.
Now i did choose the option to spec this unit up, (beauty of being able to use CTO) paid a little more than what i normally would. But this machine has not been disappointing at all. The only draw back was not having a DVD/CD drive built into the PC. I had to go purchase one Dell recommends. So to make the experience even better, the CD/DVD drive that was being recommended, didnt even read DVD's and was from XP era. How does that happen? anyway, out of a ten, i would give this PC an 9...

While customizing I couldn't figure out if this really doesn't have a wlan card. All i could see was cellular broadband. any hints?

Time to dump desktops for laptops for time-strapped gamers?
Look, I can build my own PCs and I advocate that gamers build their own machines. However, with laptops becoming powerful and less expensive, I'm wondering if its time to shift away from having a massive desktop gaming rig sitting around when all I really need is something like the m11x and a decent monitor to connect it (or just my HDTV). I really like the benefits of having a portable gaming laptop such as this. Form factor is the m11x's greatest feature.

Performance
I really want this to be a stable platform for gaming. That way I can get rid of my 360 and stick with this and my PS3 for gaming. 1.3ghz though is a little worrying. Hopefully some good benchmarks for Mass Effect 2 come out soon.

Processors/Ram Speed options?
I wonder if there will be an option to get a ULV Core i5, and 1333MHz RAM for this little machine. It's asking for a bit much, but having a slow CPU and slow RAM will create a bottleneck for the 335m GPU. So what does everyone think?

Premium Netbook; actually worth it? Resurrection of the 12" Power Book?
This things looks hot, and I love the size of it. Although it's "cheap" it's still relatively-expensive, but is this now the spiritual successor to the 12" Power Book? Is this the natural response to netbooks? I like the idea of a lilliputian laptop powered by something other than the Atom and I have to say this looks real good.
