Adobe confirmed a report yesterday stating they were going to stop developing Flash for mobile device support such as Android & the Playbook in order to more aggressively focus on HTML5. They're going to keep developing flash for the PC but also begin to put more effort into HTML5 there as well. Flash was a big marketing point by a lot of different mobile OS makers and now with them looking to make the shift do you think this will be a bad thing? Was Flash an important selling feature when...

It's pretty astounding how much it has improved performance in Safari and Firefox. Both of these browsers now rarely exhibit the dreaded spinning beach ball of death. They are actually fairly usable. As an added bonus, a lot of annoying flash content, such as advertising, isn't even displayed. It's pretty nifty. I do slightly cheat by falling back to Google Chrome if I need to use Flash (since it has it built in). But once I'm done, I simply close Chrome and the resources...

not compatible with 64-bit OSs. Microsoft has a listing of codecs here: http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto/downloads/codecs... Since Panasonic didn't have a codec working for 64-bit systems, I had to do this third party style and didn't have Photoshop installed, which most likely would have the codecs necessary to view these. I'm probably going to purchase that sometime soon. I searched around a bit and found this codec pack: http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/ I read a few...

I think that the DROID X seems like a great phone, but is it worth using up an available upgrade and $200? Motorola said that they are working on two video chatting DROID branded phones and a 2ghz one! So, shall I wait until the end of the year for these, or go for the DROID X?
Has anyone had the chance to read Lee Brimelow's (Platform Evangelist at Adobe) latest post over at The Flash Blog [1]? There's been a lot of back and forth discussion about it on a number of blogs today. If you haven't seen it yet, he wrote about Apple's restrictions on applications not written in Objective-C, C, or C++, specifically referring to section 3.3.1 of the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement: "3.3.1 — Applications may only use Documented APIs in the...

I've done a time lapse but I also stupidly forgot to turn off the camera's auto-focus, so some of the photos are of slightly different sizes. Consequently, the video ended up with a bit of jitter in the evening part of the time lapse. Is there a way to somehow calibrate the photos so that they all have the same focal area?
I'd re-shoot but it's not cheap to fly back to Tokyo. Ugh.
I am researching what would be the most convenient and future-proof way to store my photos in the cloud? the Apple service is one option. Adobe Carroussel and 20 others are also possible..
I've found that when I use Flash in Safari, my mouse cursor disappears after I hold and drag something in a flash object. The only way to make the cursor come back is to move it outside of the area of the flash applet. Has anyone found a fix/workaround?
To make a long story short, just bought my first dedicated eReading device: the second generation nook. I had a Borders gift card that I needed to use ASAP (they're going out of business in case you hadn't heard) so I bought a pair of novels in the Kobo store. As it so happens, Kobo's pretty cool about loading these books on other devices: the company basically gives you the ability to download them as protected ePubs and then load them on through Adobe DRM and Digital Edition software. I've...

Since I've upgraded to Lion I've noticed the fans in my Macbook Pro getting insanely loud after only 5-10 minutes of watching a video that incorporates Flash. Is there anything I can do about it?
Hi, Is it possible to make 3D video out of normal one? Has anyone tried to do such thing? My sister's getting married and I want to make 3D film out of the footage. However I don't own 3D camera to shoot it in native 3D. Don't take me wrong thinking that I'm crazy or smth about 3D. The thing is the wedding will be organised in such a way that it'll include lots of action moments (racing etc.), so making the whole video in 3D will be appropriate option. The only problem is I don't know how to do...

From what I have been able to read, currently Windows Phone 7 does not support Flash, but I have found conflicting sources on if MS and Adobe are working together to get Flash up and running on the WP7 platform.
