- Speed and features While the Atom processor is slow, this little machine does wonders with hardware acceleration, playing Blu-Rays well with Media Player Classic.
- Design and form factor The layout is convenient, with most of the USB ports on the back to plug in externals. The front facing USB port is nice for flash drives as well.
- Expandability The large number of USB ports makes adding additional hard drives easy.
- Noise Almost silent, and you certainly won't hear anything if your using it to watch anything.
- Size and weight Small enough to be inconspicuous with your home theater setup.
- Power consumption No comments
Detailed review
This computer was not designed to be fast for CPU activities. It was made for viewing media, and it does that quite well. Using a media player that supports hardware acceleration (i.e. Media Player Classic) this humble computer plays back BluRay discs without a problem.
**To play Blu-Ray discs I have a desktop with AnyDVD HD installed. The Blu-Ray drive on the desktop is set as a shared folder over a gigabit network. I then open the largest file in the Blu-Ray's 'Stream' directory.
**My TV is 720p, so I don't have any experience running this computer at 1080p.
