Sent it back to Newegg for replacement and they gave me my money back -- temporarily discontinuing the line. Now I see it's back, with no mention anymore of 4GB RAM capacity. This may have been the cause of my problems. Anyone got it running with 4 gigs?

I have this baby playing all kinds of HD content from a NAS and it works like a charm. WMP works off the bat with the Nvidia drivers. In XMBC, You have to use a DXVA aware branch of XBMC (or use an external player like MPC-HC) for the full HTPC experience, but it is an impressive piece of hardware. Next in my list, get MAME to work with the sixaxis so I have the ultimate badass HTPC - light gaming rig.

Does anyone know why the Acer R3610 has recently become unavailable on Newegg, etc.? I read a rumor somewhere that Acer is updating the SKU in order to add a VESA adapter to the unit, so I wanted to see if anyone else had heard anything. I'm interested in getting it as an HTPC, but I can't find it anywhere, and I'd rather get this model over the R1600. Otherwise, does anyone have a good alternative that they use as a cheap HTPC?
