Conclusion: We like it

The Acer Aspire V3 series is a good choice for home or school users looking for a fast, sturdy, reliable laptop that can handle most multimedia, gaming, and productivity tasks. While its display doesn't offer the full-HD resolution available on some competing models, it's too heavy to really be considered portable, and its battery life is on the low side, it's priced competitively, and is available in screen sizes up to 17 inches, making it a good desktop replacement.
