The Acer Aspire 5750G isn't the best-looking laptop around and its screen isn't wonderful either, but it really does delivery some serious processing power for a very reasonable amount of money.

The Aspire 5750 is a basic laptop that can handle all home-office tasks, audio and video streaming, and modest gaming, at a very good price. It has a solid, sturdy, comfortable keyboard, a fairly average 1366 x 768 display, a reasonably fast processor, and a single USB 3.0 port for high-speed data transfer. While its battery life could be better and it shouldn't be your first choice for gaming or video-editing, the 5750 is still a reasonable choice if you're looking for a sub-$500 laptop that can meet the typical day-to-day needs of home or small-business workers and students.
