The new features in the MPro150 are welcome, but it seems pretty clear to me that the MPro170 (or whatever the next version will be called) will actually be the one to get, at least if you plan on watching any video with this thing.

While the 3M MPro150 beams out a nice bright image and its battery lasts more than 2 hours, the inability to show 16:9 files in their proper ratio and lack of image adjustment options make this pico tough to recommend.

For the businessman wanting to impress in a dark room this might just cut it, but at the steep price you'll probably wonder why you shouldn't just opt to put your back out and get something that can actually pack a punch.

There are some great aspects to this solidly built projector. It's neat and compact and weighs only 155g. Its non-slip rubber coating makes it easy to grip and we like the fact you really can slip it into an inside jacket pocket to take out and about with you.

Pocket Projector is an apt label for 3M’s MPro150 video projector. It’s not only incredibly small, but it’s completely self-contained, too. All the software you need to display digital photos and videos, PDFs, Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, and even PowerPoint presentations is built right in.

It won't have even the cheapest of standard projectors worried then, but given the MPro150’s lofty ambitions, 3M deserves credit for turning the pico projector from a mere curio into a viable business tool.
